What is GST Return?
A return is a document containing details of income which a taxpayer is required to file with the tax administrative authorities. This is used by tax authorities to calculate tax liability.

Who should file GST Returns?
In the GST regime, the person who are registered with www.gst.gov.in have to file the returns. There are different type of Registration in GST. Main are Regular Registration and other one is Composition Registrations. In any regular business, It has to file two monthly returns and one annual return. This amounts to 25 returns in a year. In some cases, the number 25 may increase to 26. The increase is the annual return having Turnover more than Rs. 2 Cr.
There are separate returns required to be filed by special cases such as composition dealers. Composition Dealers are required to furnish CMP 08 on quarterly basis.
